The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2

Starring Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen; Kristen Stewart as Bella Cullen; and Taylor Launtner as Jacob Black.

The final instalment of the four part hit Twilight Saga which will keep ‘twi- hards’ on the edge of their seats as the Cullen clan fight to convince the Volturi that Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy) is not an ‘immortal child’ (a child- like vampire that is uncontrollable, therefore forbidden to exist). To do this, the Cullen’s gather friends and associates, including the wolf pack, to bare witness that Renesmee is not dangerous. We are also taken back in time to when the Volturi rid the world of immortal children- to do this, editors use CGI given there are explosions and very artistic looking scenes, which increases the production value of the film, and even if you are not a fan of Stephenie Meyer’s hit series, it is still a must see for one and all. However, I would suggest that parental guidance is is advised for younger viewers. Bella’s protective side comes out when it comes to Renesmee even though Jacob (Taylor Launtner) has pledged to protect her no matter the cost given that he has “imprinted” on Bella’s daughter as portrayed in Breaking Dawn Part 1. The final battle scene is a little disappointing given that all vamps present have special abilities which include controlling the elements and influencing the outcome of a given situation as well as the abilities of the Cullen clan. We find out that the reason Edward cannot hear Bella’s thoughts is that she is actually a ‘shield’ where she can block and protect others from dangerous abilities such as Jane’s (Dakota Fanning) pain inflicting ability or Alec’s (Cameron Bright) anesthetic ability.
