Bingo!

It was April 1995, and my 5th bday. My best friend at the time Olivia March was to arrive any minute as a guest of honour so to speak. While waiting, I was playing Bingo with my friends that had already arrived, while drinking coke. Suddenly, the unmistakebale sound of the crunch of gravel indicating someone's arrival suddenly got me all excited as I could tell that it was Olivia arriving. And, I was right. The March's had arrived. What Olivia was carrying when they entered the kitchen via the back door was amazing. A black staffy was in her arms, and she said this is for you, Happy birthday! I then thought it appropreate that I give my new present a name. I looked down for a second, and it hit me, Bingo! Thus the gorjus puppy was christened Bingo Nugent. Fast forward a few years, and we have a perfectly healthy mature staffy who seems to keep three other dogs in toe and behaving. This little dog survived dog fights with hunting dogs; confrontations with porkupines; disagreements with other dogs in the family. Eventually, there was just Bingo and a new addition to the family Wilbur, a bullterrior. At first there was a little bullying going on on Wilburs part, but gradually he started taking care of Bingo rather than bullying her. In her old age, Bingo was starting to lose control of her hips and her digestive system wasn't that good, however, she was still eating well despite the cancer growthes on her belly, which funny enough didnt cause her pain. Despite this aspect, she potted on as usual eating and drinking regularly, and bouncing back any time she got sick. Eventually her time came, and she left this mortal coil to join the other Nugent dogs that had passed on previously... RIP my diggy dog xx
