Burlesque!!!

Starring: Cher; Christina Aguilera; Stanley Tucci and Cam Gigandet

The film 'Burlesque' tells the story of a New York club owner Tess (Cher), who, through the entertainment that is provided in the club and the assistance of long time friend and stage manager Sean (Tucci), is trying to revive the unique performance genre that is Burlesque, and prevent a real- estate developer and her ex- husband from buying and taking over the club. It also tells the story of a 'small town' girl, Ali (Aguilera), who wants to become a performer due to her love and talent for singing.
Through trial and error, Ali falls in love with the club's already, however unhappily, engaged bartender and Piano player, Jack (Gigandet).

The narrative revolves around how Jack and Tess help Ali become a star, and Jack and Ali's relationship during and after Jack's fiance leaves him.
As for Tess, she manages to pull her club and herself out of debt by securing a better offer from another developer to replace the original asking price. This enables Tess to buy her ex out and keep the club without any interference from him.
Ali brings an immaculate amount of popularity to the club, which at the time boosts her popularity as a performer.
Like in any film in the drama genre, a controversial element is present. In Burlesque this element comes in the form of alcohol abuse and subtle elements of homosexual relationships or escapades. However, these elements make the viewer aware of a moral message, alhtough open minded, the elements of alcohol should not encourage viewers to get wasted nightly, and also the message encourages viewers to exercise tolerance when it comes to same- sex relationships.
The best thing about this film is the songs and music of this film that gets the audience's feet tapping.
This film is a must- see for those who enjoyed films such as 'Chicago' and 'Moulin Rouge'.
